I'm Divertida Devotchka, a burlesque and variety performer in Dallas! For those with linguistic interests, my name is a combination of Spanish- Divertida, meaning funny or entertaining, and Devotchka, meaning woman, taken from the fictional language Nadsat created by Anthony Burgess in his masterpiece A Clockwork Orange. Apparently devotchka has the same meaning in Russian, but the origin of my name was selected because of my interest in Burgess' work.
